I have been scrapbooking and stamping for nearly 17 years and have poured money hand over fist into rubber stamps and papers that seemed to take forever to coordinate to make a decent layout. I enjoyed creating beautiful keepsakes but it just seemed like too much of an effort. In April 2007, I discovered a company and instantly fell in love with their products! The paper came in packages of coordinating cardstock and decorative background and texture paper and their stamps were CLEAR! I never had to worry about starting a project over because the image did not stamp completely because lining it up to restamp was a cinch! Close To My Heart made my paper crafting experience so much faster, simpler and easier.
I decided that I needed one of everything in the Idea Book but my pocketbook thought otherwise. I signed up to become an Independent Consultant so that I could use the discount to purchase what I wanted. It was a more substantial discount than any other craft company I had found.
As soon as my Consultant Kit arrived, I began making greeting cards and gifts for my friends and much to my surprise, they loved them! Not only did they love receiving them, they wanted to know how to recreate them. My business began to take shape! I started teaching scrapbooking workshops and created a couple of clubs and invited my friends over to complete make and takes as my schedule allowed.
Here we are 11 years later and some of those very first customers are now some of my closest friends and I still love making trinkets and gifts for them. My greatest love though is teaching other paper crafters how to use the fabulous products that Close To My Heart has designed so that they may discover their creativity.
